MTHS - For their midterm experience, students in the forensic science classes worked on blood spatter evidence. They analyzed the relationship between the size and feature of blood droplets when dropped at different heights, and the shapes while in motion. They also determined the angle of impact. All of this information helps forensic blood splatter analysts recreate the events of crimes.

MTHS - As midterms approach, the MTHS Mental Health Initiative (MHI) brought back our favorite four-legged visitor – Bull the therapy dog! Thanks to Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs and Bull’s owner, Janis Hayes, students got some much-needed stress relief and comfort.

MTHS - This week, our International Business Practice Firm (IBPF) classes took part in the Virtual Enterprises Central Division Business Plan Competition and Trade Show, and the results are nothing short of impressive!
The event featured teams presenting their business plans to a panel of judges and a trade show where students pitched their products to peers and teachers. Our two companies, Burst Stripz and E-scentials, made it to the final round, competing against 50 other students, teachers, and judges.
The results are in:
- Burst Stripz claimed 1st place in the Business Plan Competition and will advance to the National Competition in April!
- E-scentials finished in the Top 5, winning a Gold Medal for their outstanding sales pitch and a Bronze Medal for their booth design!
Sales Stats:
- Burst Stripz sold over $23,000 worth of product during the trade show!
- E-scentials sold over $18,000 in products!



MTHS - Mrs. Einstein's Biotechnology class transforms bacteria with a plasmid that contains the gene for green florescent protein. Successful bacteria will be glowing tomorrow!
