MTHS - More great news from the Music Department! Congratulations to our a cappella group, Mpulse, who won their third consecutive ICHSA quarterfinal championship! Mpulse competed at Cherry Hill East High School this past Saturday and had multiple MTHS students win individual awards:

MTHS - And the accolades keep coming for our fine and performing arts students! The MTHS Theatre Program recently represented our school at the Speech and Theatre Association of New Jersey (STANJ) Governor’s Awards, held at Montclair State University.

A total of 21 MTHS students competed in a wide range of musical theatre categories. We are pleased to announce that the following students advanced to the final round in their respective categories:

MTHS - Today we came together to celebrate our winter Mustang athletes and the dedication, teamwork, and pride they bring to our school. Additionally the MTHS community took a moment to honor Coach John Krip with a banner that will hang in the wrestling gym.

A big thank you to the athletes and coaches, the students and faculty who participated in the faculty-student basketball game, members of the chamber choir who sang the National Anthem, the students who signed the National Anthem and the faculty, staff and administration!

MTHS - Our Advanced Italian Contemporary Topics students had the opportunity to learn from a communication specialist, Francesca Oliveri from Bindi North America, who spoke about the company’s Italian origins, its specialty products, and how food serves as a vehicle for sharing culture and heritage in the United States. The presentation also highlighted the importance of multilingualism and cross-cultural communication, especially in today’s global business world. This was an incredible real-world connection to what they study in class!

MTHS - We did it, Mustangs! Our school community rallied together and collected an incredible 2,266 food items this week! Because of your generosity, we created 40 family baskets and still had plenty of surplus items to donate to the Montville Food Pantry. A huge thanks to our amazing students and staff for supporting the Key Club Food Drive and for making a true difference this holiday season.

MTHS - Yesterday Mrs. Nord and our 18–21 ACCE students stepped in to help teachers who didn’t have time to complete their food-drive shopping—and they did an incredible job! They researched pantry needs, compared prices, and worked together to make the most of the donated funds. Their efforts will provide 30 containers of shelf-stable milk, 16 jars of peanut butter, and 16 jars of jelly for families in our community. Building real-world skills + making a community impact = a major win!

MTHS - The MTHS Chamber Choir earned a spot in the Top 10 of the NBC Star Choir Competition! This contest is hosted by NBC and The Kelly Clarkson Show and seeks to identify an exceptional choir to perform at the iconic Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting. Our Chamber Choir advanced through a highly competitive audition process and was chosen from among many talented choirs across the greater New York City area. Their hard work, musical excellence, and dedication were further recognized when they were recently featured in an official NBC promotional commercial.
