MTHS - A beautiful (but cold!) day for a field trip! Mr. Riotto's AP Government and Politics class travelled to historic Philadelphia to take in the sites. Students had a tour and visited Independence Hall, Congress Hall, the Constitution Center, the Liberty Bell, Christ Church Burial Ground, and much more. A special thank you to Mr. Riotto for organizing this annual trip and to chaperones, Ms. San Filippo and Ms. Bongiovanni.

MTHS - Mr. Morrison's US I students are working on their research papers in the media center. Students are researching topics like the burning of Washington, D.C. during the War of 1812, Manifest Destiny, the Salem Witch Trials, the Underground Railroad, the Federalist Papers, and the Battle of Trenton using database sources available to students at MTHS.

MTHS - Students in Mrs. Nichols' English class work collaboratively on Shakespeare research using the high school databases.


MTHS - Students in Mr. Koranteng's technology class work on building balsa wood towers. Students can use up to thirty pieces of wood to create a structure and then there will be a competition to see which design holds the most weight.




MTHS - Mr. Conroy's Woods I students work on their stepstool projects in class. Throughout the year, our technology teachers develop lab based projects for students that focus on safety, planning, design, construction, and craftsmanship.





MTHS - To help introduce exponential functions, Mrs. Evans reads The Rajah's Rice by David Barry to her Algebra II Honors students. This picture book is a mathematical folktale from India, and the students enjoyed some snacks while listening.

MTHS - On Friday night, the MTHS Key Club hosted the 42nd annual Volleyball Marathon. Sixteen teams competed, and Team Ireland was victorious! A special thank you to those who supported VBM as referees and sponsors, as well as the faculty chaperones, the Aramark staff, our vice principals Dr. Gelber and Mr. Nadzak and co-advisors Ms. Shalongo and Mrs. Swenson. This is always a great night and a fun event!

MTHS - It is a busy day at MTHS! Today the School Counseling Department held a college fair in the cafeteria for our 10th and 11th graders. Representatives from colleges across the United States, as well as the military, were available to meet with students. This was an excellent opportunity for our students and we thank the School Counseling Department for organizing the event.







MTHS - Today we are celebrating the Grand Opening of the new Chartwells Mustang Cafe! Students and staff enjoyed the opening specials of a free hot coffee, nitro cold brew, tea or hot chocolate with the purchase of breakfast, lunch or pastry. The smoothie machine was also working overtime! Thank you to Chartwells for this great addition to our food service.





#ReadAcrossAmerica! #Woodmont welcomed special guest readers from #MTHS on 3/6/24. While there the students also shared memories of their time as K-5 students at Woodmont.
