IN THE NEWS! ALUMNI NEWS! #MTHS (2003) / #Lazar / #Hilldale Alum - Nikhil Joshi Wins Big on Jeopardy! "Joshi also had complimentary words for his education in Montville Township. 'A big shout-out to the teachers from kindergarten through 12th grade,' he said. 'A lot of Jeopardy is ‘Did you learn things in school? Do you remember things from school?’ It’s not crazy, esoteric stuff. A lot is basic U.S. history and science. I think about European history in 12th grade and my science classes, like biology with Mr. Brick. That really prepared me to be on the show.'” See STORY & PICS at #MontvilleTAP: www.montville.net/montvilletapmthsalumonjeopardy

MTHS - Students in the forensics class recently completed a hands-on project to better understand the five stages of human decomposition. Working in pairs, they began by tracing life-sized outlines of their lab partners. Each outline was then divided into sections, with each one representing a different stage of decomposition. In each section, students included details about what occurs during that stage and sketched visuals on the "remains." This interactive approach helps students apply classroom learning in a creative and memorable way, reinforcing their understanding of how forensic scientists estimate time of death based on physical evidence.

REMINDER: Schools are CLOSED Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Classes resume Wednesday, May 28. Enjoy the day!!

Honoring those we have lost. For Memorial Day, #Lazar students helped Montville VFW Post 5481 place flags on veteran's graves. Teachers Rick Crescente, Nicole Rudge & Michelle Trautmann headed the event. For 19 years Crescente & the VFW have organized the placing of the flags.
