MTHS - Forensic science students completed "banana autopsies" as part of their death and decomposition unit. Each group was given a different case to analyze and students could take creative liberties to hypothesize a possible Modus Operandi (MO) and motive for the death of their banana.

The Robert R. Lazar Middle School Chamber Choir of 41 grade 7 and 8 students performed at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, April 13, 2025. When a YouTube video of them singing a work by renowned conductor and composer Greg Gilpin, was brought to the attention of Distinguished Concerts International New York [DCINY], the Montville Township Public Schools middle school students were invited to sing two new works at Carnegie Hall. Gilpin conducted.

The Lazar Chamber Choir, an audition-based choral group of grade 7 and grade 8 students, was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall on April 13, 2025. The singers were part of a choir that was titled the “Gilpin Chorus.” Conducted by renowned conductor and composer Greg Gilpin, the Lazar Chamber Choir was among eight other choirs who had been selected from across the United States.

Robert R. Lazar Middle School music teacher Jordan Green listens as the Lazar Chamber Choir performs at Carnegie Hall. Green described the musical abilities of the grade 7 and 8 students as they sang at Carnegie Hall as “Pure musical magic.”

Two members of the Robert R. Lazar Middle School Chamber Choir, eighth grade singers Max Belov and Aadit Tembe, auditioned and were selected to perform small group features at Carnegie Hall under the direction of renowned composer and conductor Greg Gilpin. Aadit Tembe is center in the trio, Max Belov stands to the right in the trio, and renowned composer and conductor Greg Gilpin conducts eight choirs from across the USA, including the 41 members of the Lazar Chamber Choir.

Timothy Faherty and Ashlee Tancredi, both of Lazar's spring production of FREAKY FRIDAY, will also lead the creative team.
