MTHS - Montville Township High School students earned three First Place awards, one Second Place award, and one Third Place award at the 2026 National Chinese Talent Contest, organized by the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS), a nationally recognized professional organization.

Calligraphy Presentation:
Hongjin Cao (Heritage, 1st Place); Eric Geisinger (Non-Heritage, 1st Place)
Dumplings Presentation: Catherine Huang (Regular, 1st Place); Cynthia Daili (Heritage, 3rd Place)
Handkerchief Dance: Group performance by Anushka Koshy, Raina Alleyne, Cameron Camaya, Aikya Gunda, Isabelle Smalley, and Victoria Zagorski (Regular Group, 2nd Place)
The competition included participation from schools across the country with nearly 2,000 students participants. These results reflect not only our students' dedication and talent, but also the instruction and rigor of the Mandarin program at MTHS.
