Student Anisha Mulinti stands at the "Great Dome" on the campus of MIT.

MTHS - The Montville Township High School community is proud to announce that Anisha Mulinti (Class of 2026) recently presented at the prestigious Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Undergraduate Research Technology Conference (URTC) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA.

The opportunity came after Mulinti spent part of the summer attending the highly selective New Jersey Governor's School of Engineering and Technology at Rutgers University. The Governor's School program challenges students following their junior year to collaborate on a novel, conference-style research project.

During the Governor’s School program, Mulinti and her team focused on a research project to enhance accessibility in modern environments. Their project culminated in a paper detailing the creation of an autonomous vision-based smart ramp designed to improve accessibility in smart cities.

Following the Governor’s School research symposium, the group submitted their work to MIT’s URTC, an internationally-renowned research conference organized for and by undergraduates. Their paper was peer-reviewed and accepted for presentation at the conference.

Anisha's participation and subsequent achievement at MIT underscore the value of high-level summer academic programs and independent student research.

Congratulations!
