A large group of smiling children and adults pose in a gymnasium. The kids, wearing matching shirts, sit on the floor, while adults stand behind. The atmosphere is joyful. Basketball hoops are visible on each side.

Robert R. Lazar Middle School recently welcomed five second-year Physician Assistant students from Seton Hall University’s Interprofessional Health Sciences (IHS) Campus for a special wellness lesson in our Physical Education classes.

The visiting students spoke with Ms. Koutas’ and Mr. Reiber’s PE classes about the importance of incorporating regular exercise and healthy nutrition into daily life. Through an interactive presentation, they discussed practical ways to stay active, make balanced food choices, and develop lifelong healthy habits.

To bring their lesson to life, the students led our classes in a fun, fitness-inspired game of Wellness Red Light, Green Light, giving everyone a chance to apply what they learned in an energetic and engaging way.

We were especially proud to welcome one of the visiting Seton Hall students, Efthymia Triantafyllou — a 2021 Montville Township High School graduate — back to our district as part of this exciting educational experience.
