On September 30, Montville Township Public Schools recognized the retirement of Mr. Steven Toth, CEFM, following nearly 17 years of dedicated service to the district.
Mr. Toth served as the district’s Director of Facilities and, most recently, Construction Manager. Over the course of his career, he oversaw significant facility improvements and enhancements across the district’s eight schools. His leadership was instrumental in projects such as the Montville Township High School Media Center renovation, security upgrades throughout all buildings—including the addition of new vestibules at seven schools—along with major HVAC and roofing initiatives, the conversion of several athletic fields from grass to turf, and the upgrade of the high school track.
In a symbolic conclusion to his tenure, Mr. Toth was honored with a clap-out by district colleagues during his final walk through the Board of Education offices. At the end of the walk, he ceremoniously passed the Director of Facilities baton to his successor, Mr. Richard Medwin, CEFM. Reflecting on his time in Montville, Mr. Toth shared, “My goal when I started here was to leave the district better than the way I found it,” to which Mr. Medwin responded, “I won’t let you down!”
Montville Township Public Schools thanks Mr. Toth for his many years of service and contributions and wishes him well in his retirement.
