Montville Township Public Schools families have a unique opportunity to recognize the educators and staff members who have made a supportive impact on student's lives. The Montville Township High School Hall of Fame Educator Recognition Program invites all community members to honor teachers, counselors, school nurses, administrative assistants, coaches, and other school personnel through a heartfelt tribute. This initiative, which will deliver a rose with a personal message to educators, will both show educators how much they are appreciated, and benefit the Montville Township High School [MTHS] Hall of Fame Scholarship Fund.
With a $10 donation, families and other community members can send a single rose accompanied by a personalized message to an honoree of their choice. There is no limit to how many individuals may be recognized. Each rose and message will be delivered directly to educators on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, just in time to close out the school year with a smile. Roses will be delivered to all seven Montville Township Public Schools [MTPS] and the MTPS district offices, so the community can share a rose with every treasured educator throughout the district.
Donations for roses with a personalized message can be made online at https://bit.ly/mthshof. The deadline to submit tributes is Tuesday, May 20.
All proceeds benefit the Montville Township High School Hall of Fame Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to graduating seniors for excellence and achievement.
"This is a very impressive fundraiser for two great causes," said Assistant Principal Dr. David Gelber. "Three MTHS business students have developed, are promoting, and are spearheading a fundraiser that will honor and recognize Montville Township's incredible educators. Additionally, the proceeds from their MTHS Hall of Fame Educator Recognition Program will support students and this community's Hall of Fame committee by assisting with the MTHS Hall of Fame Scholarship fund."
The MTHS Hall of Fame Educator Recognition Program is just one initiative supported by the MTHS Hall of Fame. For nearly 25 years, the MTHS Hall of Fame has celebrated the accomplishments of Montville Township High School graduates based on achievement in high school, college, and/or their careers. In addition, the Hall of Fame recognizes former staff members who have made outstanding contributions to the school community, as well as teams whose achievements have brought pride and distinction to the school.
This year’s MTHS Hall of Fame Educator Recognition Program fundraiser was developed and is being led by three MTHS juniors: Tyler Lieberman, Chase Garb, and Zack Pett. These business education students have taken multiple business courses and are working closely with the Hall of Fame Committee to promote the Educator Recognition Program. Their efforts reflect a strong commitment to giving back to the school community and applying classroom knowledge to real-world initiatives.
“The best part of all this will be seeing the teacher’s reaction to receiving the honors shown by the roses. It seems like a small gesture, but it will go a long way and mean something to them,” said Garb.
This simple gesture of appreciation through the MTHS Hall of Fame Educator Recognition Program fundraiser will help celebrate the dedication of Montville Township’s educators while supporting the MTHS Hall of Fame and its scholarship fund, as well as the legacy and future of excellence at Montville Township High School.
