14th Annual Mustang Classic to Host 9 Regional High School Bands
Montville Township High School Marching Band to perform ELEMENTS, a Musical Feast of Rhythm, Melody and Harmony in Six Movements
The Montville Township High School Marching Band will host the 14th Annual Mustang Classic Band Festival on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Ten of the region’s competitive high school bands will take the field at the MTHS stadium, 100 Horseneck Road in Montville Township. New Jersey. This event is a popular community event for all ages. Great music and outstanding pageantry astound audiences each fall at the Mustang Classic Band Festival.
Over 500 student musicians and color guards, will compete for top prizes. Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Fair Lawn High School, Morris Knolls High School, Nutley High School, Passaic High School, Passaic Valley high school, Pequannock Township High School, Saddle Brook High School, Wayne Valley High School and the Montville Township High School Marching Band will perform.
A panel of five US Bands certified judges will be judging the pageantry, precision and performance of the nine visiting marching bands. Each will be judged on the musical and visual presentation of the school’s half-time show.
The award-winning MTHS Marching Band and Color Guard will showcase the exciting 2018 show, ELEMENTS, which highlights the Elements of Music: Rhythm, melody, and harmony, in six movements. The movements each feature a variety of musical styles which are both instrumentally and visually expressed.
The 2018 MTHS Marching Band is under the Direction of Chelsea Stebbins, with Joseph Stella and Daniel Pasquale serving as Co-Directors.
The 14th Annual Mustang Classic Band Festival is a fun family event. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for senior citizens, students and children.
The Mustang Classic will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the Montville Township High School stadium, 100 Horseneck Road in Montville New Jersey.
