A message from Dr. Rene Rovtar - Spent Ramset cartridge was used for building maintenance and repairs
A message from Dr. Rene Rovtar - Monday, March 5, 2018 at 8:00 PM
This afternoon during athletic practices, a coach and student-athlete discovered a .22 caliber casing in the high school’s weight room. Those individuals reported the information to the Supervisor of Athletics immediately. Upon investigation, it was determined that the casing was a spent ramset cartridge (https://thd.co/2Fjkrl1) that is used by our maintenance department. Ramset cartridges are used for affixing items to concrete or block walls. Recently, the maintenance department was completing work in and around the weight room. As a precautionary measure, the Montville Township Police Department was contacted. The officer who was dispatched confirmed that the casing was a spent Ramset cartridge.
