We have been receiving phone calls, and observing social media postings about an incident at the Montville High School. There is NO emergency nor any incidents taking place at any Montville twp. School.

Earlier today police received a 9-1-1 hang up call from a cellular phone. Upon call back, through conversation with the young male it was determined there was no emergency. Police were able to determine the young males location and dispatched patrols to verify there was no problem. The male was in fact in class at Montville High School when he accidentally dialed 9-1-1.

Police and school officials determined there was no cause for concern. The call was an isolated, accidental mis-dial.
