Project A.C.E.S. – All Children Exercise Simultaneously – is the world’s largest exercise class.
Unlike past Project A.C.E.S. events, during the COVID-19 world-wide quarantine, Project A.C.E.S. 2020 will take place virtually. On May 6, 2020, students in quarantine around the globe will click on the http://projectaces.online link and exercise with 5th grade Valley View student leaders: C.J., Nyah, Skyler and Nathan.
From the start of its 32 year history, A.C.E.S. has been recognized by dozens of news outlets including: “Sports Illustrated,” “Good Morning America,” and “CBS Sunday Morning.”
Launched 32 years ago by Len Saunders, the physical education teacher at Valley View Elementary School, in Montville Township, New Jersey, A.C.E.S. annually engages over five million students world-wide in exercise. It has been featured in many television shows including the Emmy®-Award winning New Jersey Education Association television program “Classroom Close-up, NJ” and “One on One with Steve Adubato.”
“[For 2020] most schools signed up before all the COVID 19 took place,” Saunders said when explaining the shift to a virtual Project A.C.E.S. 2020 event. “But, [once Executive Orders went into place] I was getting flooded with requests from teachers to create something for A.C.E.S. at home....which is why I thought of making this video with Valley View students.”
Project ACES 2020 will be held virtually.

Everyone in the world is encouraged to participate on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, in the 15-minute Project A.C.E.S. cardio workout?.
“A.C.E.S. is not just for one day,” Saunders noted. “Exercise and healthy eating are important daily activities. I founded A.C.E.S. as a way to help students find the fun in making healthy choices. It is exciting to know that people are joining you in exercise from all over the world.”
Those who participate in A.C.E.S. 2020 are asked to post pictures and videos with the hashtags: #ProjectACES, #AllChildrenExerciseSimultaneously, #TheWorldsLargestExerciseClass, #ACES2020, #ProjectACESDay or #ProjectACESAtHome.
“It’s really important to exercise and to make sure that you get in at least 45 minutes of it every day,” explained one of last year’s Project A.C.E.S. leaders, Lily Smith.
