Dear Montville Township Public Schools Community,
I am very excited to have been selected as Superintendent of the Montville Township Public Schools. For the past three months, I have developed a genuine and warm feeling about the schools and community, and I sense a positive energy growing through my interactions with all I meet here in the Montville Township district. I look forward to building on this momentum.
It is an honor to be part of this important transition, and I am enthused about this new professional challenge. My resolve is to work cooperatively with the BOE, educators, students, parents, and community to ensure that every student reaches their full potential. My vision of a successful educational experience is founded upon high standards, relevant curricula, and innovation.
To educate a child effectively requires a tremendous amount of collaboration and effort among the child, family, district, and community. My philosophy has always been that there are four “A’s” comprising a student’s educational experience: academics, arts, athletics, and activities. The key to a successful educational experience is to balance the four “A’s” with the values and goals of the family and community. By focusing on the whole child and working together, we can provide an enriching learning environment for our children, so they can mature into educated young adults who will be able to contribute positively to society.
As we move forward, and look at how we are to attain our district goals, we must find the balance between honoring the past, celebrating the present, and envisioning the future. In the upcoming months and years, we can accomplish the district’s overarching goal - to deliver the highest quality learning experience for all our students. Together, we embrace and honor the district’s motto to educate, inspire, and empower the students to be lifelong learners.
