Montville Township High School Seniors Yoo Jin Kang and Samantha Ko have won the NJ Youth Leadership Award sponsored by the New Jersey Chinese Teacher Association (NJCTA). Mandarin teacher, Zishan "Annie" Huang, recommended them.

According to the NJCTA website, the award "recognizes student leaders who have actively participated in Asian cultural activities both inside and outside school and have distinguished themselves in these programs."

Those who have volunteered their time to promote Chinese language and Chinese culture are encouraged to apply.

Only 20 NJ students received this award. 

NJCTA will present plaques to Kang and Ko during a ceremony to honor all of the NJ Youth Leadership Award winners. The event will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Green Brook Township.
