For Thanksgiving Cedar Hill Elementary Says Thanks to Teachers and Donates Non-Perishable Food to Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry

A colorful array of fall and education images that spelled out: “THANKFUL FOR OUR TEACHERS” was planted in the lawn at Cedar Hill Elementary by the Home and School Association. The school’s bulldog mascot, Buddy, acknowledged the large signs of gratitude placed in honor of the Montville Township Public Schools’ teachers.

A colorful array of fall and education images that spelled out: “THANKFUL FOR OUR TEACHERS” was planted in the lawn at Cedar Hill Elementary by the Home and School Association. The school’s bulldog mascot, Buddy, acknowledged the large signs of gratitude placed in honor of the Montville Township Public Schools’ teachers.

 

Cedar Hill Elementary School students, faculty and families donated a mini-van full of non-perishable food items to the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry on November 24, 2020. While wearing a facial covering in recognition of the school’s #MaskUp initiative, Buddy, the Cedar Hill Bulldog mascot, helped parents load the van with the food pantry donations.

While at the school the mascot also acknowledged the large signs of gratitude the Cedar Hill Elementary School Home and School Association planted in the lawn outside the building. The colorful array of fall and education images also included large letters that spelled out: “THANKFUL FOR OUR TEACHERS”

Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry is located at 91 Passaic Valley Road, Montville NJ 07045.

The pantry’s regular hours of operation are: Thursdays from 4PM - 6PM and Saturdays from 10AM - 12Noon. For additional information and holiday hours people are asked to call: 973-216-7649

Cedar Hill donates food to Kiwanis Food Pantry

Delivering food to those in need. Cedar Hill Elementary School donated a mini-van of non-perishable food items to Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry. The donation was made in time for Thanksgiving 2020. Buddy, the school’s masked bulldog mascot, helped to deliver the food items.

Montville Township Public Schools will dismiss early on Wednesday, November 25 and will remain closed through November 27 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will resume November 30. All seven MTPS schools are currently open on a hybrid schedule with roughly two-thirds of the district’s 3,400 students attending school in person two to four days a week. The remaining days are virtual. Approximately one-third of the district’s students are attending virtually five days a week.

Cedar Hill Elementary School is home to 293 Students from Montville Township, New Jersey. MTPS is a pre-kindergarten to grade 12 district with seven schools. Cedar Hill is one of five elementary schools in the district.
