“I want them (students) to feel that sense of comfort in doing what they have been doing in the classroom,” Kao said of her approach to distance learning. She explained that so much of kindergarten education is interaction. With distance learning she is exploring innovative ways to provide a sense of community, despite the social distance of a virtual classroom.
“Still Learning – Kindergarten Online,” was produced by the Emmy® Award-Winning team of Ronan & Ronan Productions. Both Deborah Ronan and Kevin Ronan have a long history of producing educational programs for NJEA. The team are each Emmy®-winners for NJEA’s former television program, “Classroom Close-up, NJ”.Deborah Ronan is also an MTHS, Lazar and Woodmont alum.
