Faculty and Staff Honored for Years of Service Including Lazar Music Teacher Honored for 35 Years of Service

Music teacher, Janice Scharf, was presented with a pin of recognition for her 35 Years of Service to the Montville Township Public Schools.

 

 

Montville Township, New Jersey – Music teacher, Janice Scharf, was presented with a pin of recognition for her 35 Years of Service to the Montville Township Public Schools.

Scharf, a Robert R. Lazar Middle School educator, was one of 39 teachers recognized for their years of service on Thursday, September 1, 2022.

Combined, the 39 dedicated faculty and staff members have logged 795 Years of Service to the Montville Township Public Schools.

Years of Service pins were presented by Superintendent Dr. Thomas A. Gorman to those who have 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 Years of Service in Montville Township schools.

Two teachers, Karen Stephens, of Cedar Hill Elementary School, and Kenneth Sachs, of Montville Township High School, were recognized for 30 Years of Service.

Eleven teachers and staff were recognized for 25 Years of Service

Eleven teachers and staff received pins for 25 Years of Service. They were: Donald Wheeler, William Mason; Lisa Lazzara, Woodmont; Cherylyn Torrisi, Woodmont; Kimberly Gorman-Caravello, Valley View; Tracy Stewart, Valley View; Kimberly DeMaria, Valley View; Mary Margaret Bitterle, MTHS; Jorene Ravallese, Cedar Hill; Joseph Dilascio, Cedar Hill; Jennifer O’John Tomaszewski, MTHS. Ten teachers and staff were recognized for 20 Years of Service

Pins for 20 Years of Service were presented to ten teachers and staff: Andria Navarra, William Mason; Claire Rutkowitz, Woodmont; Maria Aiello, Woodmont; Corinne Letterese, MTHS; Michela Voit, William Mason; Angela Kalavrezos, MTHS; Kelly Forst, Hilldale; Debra Mancino, Hilldale; Richard Crescente, Lazar; and Stephan Dmytruic, Facilities.

Fifteen teachers and staff were recognized for 15 Years of Service

Fifteen teachers and staff were presented with 15 Years of Service pins: Douglas Stech, Woodmont; Joy Trevaskiss, Valley View; Danielle Vytell-Mitschele, Lazar; Kim Garcia-Cunha, MTHS; Jonathan Huppert, Lazar; Caroline Moat, MTHS; Scott Brennan, Willaim Mason; Olesya Dubreuil, Woodmont; Cindy Calligaro, Hilldale; Jenna Amodeo, Hilldale; Heather Einstein, MTHS; Alessandra Yanofsky, MTHS; Sandy Weber, MTHS; Melissa Garcia, William Mason; Not Pictured Michael Miller, Lazar.

The ceremony was held as part of the district’s Convocation, which marked the start of the start of the 2022-2023 school year. All faculty and staff from each of the seven Montville Township Public Schools gathered in Montville Township High School’s Dr. Robert O. Stafford Auditorium to launch the new academic year. The MTHS Marching Band Drum Line opened the ceremony, and the Star Spangled Banner was performed by the chorus.
