TRANSPORTATION
Montville Township Public School District's Transportation department is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of our students. Our bus contractors follow the state regulations regarding school bus operation and traffic laws. You can rest easy knowing that safety is our top priority.
Transportation Policy
In District
Students who live beyond the following minimum distances from their assigned schools are entitled to transportation:
Elementary: 2 Miles
Middle School: 2 Miles
High School: 2.5 Miles
Distances are on a "door to door" basis, using the most direct route as determined by the board of education.
Subscription Busing
Subscription busing is a program for students who do not quality for mandated transportation.
The cost for the 2022-2023 School year is:
$350.00 Per Student in grades K-5
$450.00 Per Student in grades 6-12
Transportation is guaranteed if the deadline is met. Late applications are considered on a first come first serve basis.

Public School Street Index
Out of District
We provide transportation to and from school to public school students attending special accredited schools in other districts. Children attending private schools are eligible to receive transportation or reimbursement in accordance with state rules and regulations.
