Kindergarten Registration for Montville Township Public Schools’ 2021-2022 academic year opens Monday, January 11, 2021. All children of residents of Montville, Pine Brook and Towaco, New Jersey, who have reached the age of five on or before October 1, 2021, are eligible for Kindergarten. NOTE CORRECTION: Parents must complete On-Line Registration for each child attending Kindergarten by Friday, February 12, 2021. There is NO In-Person registration this year. Instructions and details regarding the entire Kindergarten Registration process can be found at www.montville.net. Parents and Guardians are reminded to scroll down to the QUICK LINKS tab on the lower right, and from there scroll down to STUDENT REGISTRATION.

District Offers FREE, ONLINE, ESL Classes for Those Who Wish to Learn or Strengthen English Speaking or Reading Skills ESL Classes are FREE. There is no registration requirement.

English as a Second Language Classes are Available to Adults in Montville, Towaco and Pine Brook - For the first time Montville Township Public Schools will offer Virtual ESL classes. Classes are FREE. There is no registration requirement. Adult English language learners are welcomed to attend some, or all, of the classes being offered in one, or both, sessions. Session 1  is scheduled for Monday, January 25 - Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Session 2 will be held Monday, March 22 - Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Virtual Awards Ceremony Announced for 3 Montville Teachers Advancing to State Competition as VFW Nominates National Citizenship Education Awards VFW national educators award nominees

Candidates are Teachers Who Promote America’s History, Civic Responsibility, Flag Etiquette and Patriotism - Trudy Coppola of Cedar Hill Elementary School is competing at the K-5 level, Rick Crescente of Robert R. Lazar Middle School is competing for the 6-8 award, and, from Montville Township High School James McManus is competing at the grades 9-12 level. Having won in all three categories for the VFW District level, all three will now compete at the State level. A ZOOM AWARDS CEREMONY will be held Sunday, January 10 at 2PM.

Rock ‘n’ Drop Car Parade and Food Drop Offers Opportunity for 5th Grade Students to Celebrate the Holidays While Giving Back to Community Rock N Drop food drop event was held for all five Montville Township Public Schools' fifth grade students and their families.

More than 175 Bags of Food Were Donated to the Kiwanis Food Pantry - VIDEO of district-wide 5th grade event captures the fun of helping others while safely celebrating the holidays. More than 100 cars drove the parade route, and each donated non-perishable food for the Montville Township Kiwanis Club's Food Pantry. Six vehicles waited for donations to arrive. They each were ultimately filled to the roof with over 175 cases and bags of donated food items. The Kiwanis Food Pantry provides food for those in the community who cannot afford to purchase food.

For Thanksgiving Cedar Hill Elementary Says Thanks to Teachers and Donates Non-Perishable Food to Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry

A colorful array of fall and education images that spelled out: “THANKFUL FOR OUR TEACHERS” was planted in the lawn at Cedar Hill Elementary by the Home and School Association. The school’s bulldog mascot, Buddy, acknowledged the large signs of gratitude placed in honor of the Montville Township Public Schools’ teachers.

Masked Bulldog Mascot Helps Deliver Food Items From Elementary School - Cedar Hill Elementary School students, faculty and families donated a mini-van full of non-perishable food items to the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry on November 24, 2020. While wearing a facial covering in recognition of the school’s #MaskUp initiative, Buddy, the Cedar Hill Bulldog mascot, helped parents load the van with the food pantry donations. While at the school the mascot also acknowledged the large signs of gratitude the Cedar Hill Elementary School Home and School Association planted in the lawn outside the building. The colorful array of fall and education images also included large letters that spelled out: “THANKFUL FOR OUR TEACHERS”

NJ Governor Phil Murphy Calls with Congratulations for Morris County Teacher of the Year Christopher Butchko New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy congratulated social studies teacher Christopher Butchko to say congratulations on being named Morris County Teacher of the Year.

While on the Phone, Governor and Students Participate in Holocaust and Genocide Studies Activity - New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy congratulated social studies teacher Christopher Butchko in a phone call on Thursday, October 22, 2020. Governor Murphy called Butchko in the morning, while classes were in session both virtually and in-person at Montville Township High School, in Montville Township, NJ. “Congratulations on Morris County Teacher of the Year,” Murphy told Butchko. Students in the classroom had the opportunity to listen to the Governor’s call and participate with him in a "virtual" activity.

Dr Rovtar, OneMontville Founder, Reflects on the Essence of Empathy and the Organization’s Origins in Acceptance, Respect and Kindness -  The goal of the OneMontvill Unites podcast is to help people understand issues that they have not had a chance to understand.
