Online Hot Lunch Ordering for May/June  2008 is available now!!

 

Please read this notice carefully and in its entirety – it contains a some new information for our hot lunch online ordering program.

 

The ordering system for the May/June 2008 cycle will be available from now until 10:00 pm Monday, April 28th – after which time absolutely no orders will be accepted.

The system will no longer be accessible after that time.

 

With the holiday season, please make your hot lunch selections now rather than leaving it to the last minute – we will not be able to make additions after the deadline.

 

All hot lunch payments must be received by Tuesday, April 29th or your child’s name will be taken off of the hot lunch list – no exceptions can be made.

 

Please make sure when entering your child’s lunch to select a grade to insure that they are on the correct list.  If you need to change an order, please use your access codes.  If you enter multiple orders, you run the risk of the wrong one being deleted and your child not receiving the lunch that you ultimately intended.

 

IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION FOR MAY/JUNE HOT LUNCH:
 
1.  The third grade will have a full-day field trip on Monday, May 5.  Third grade parents please do not order hot lunch for your child that day.  The third grade will eat lunch at the school for their half-day field trip on Wednesday, May 28.
 
2.  The fifth grade will have their class trip on Wednesday, June 4.  Fifth grade parents please do not order hot lunch for your child that day.
 
3.  Field Day is Thursday, May 15.  A free hot dog lunch will be supplied by the PTA that day.  However, FOR YOUR CHILD TO RECEIVE THE FREE HOT DOG(S), YOU MUST PLACE AN ORDER EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ORDERING ANY OTHER HOT LUNCH.   If you do not have a computer to place the order, please contact Carol Palma at 973-882-6506 or at palmamj@aol.com.  The free hot dog lunch will include a hot dog(s) on a bun(s) (choice of all beef or turkey), chips, ice cream (same offerings as our normal ice cream days) and a small bottle of water.  Your child can still have the other items even if you do not order a hot dog.  After the day�s activities and before the fifth grade/parents/teachers volleyball game, the children will be given a box of animal crackers and a large bottle of water.  Also, the children will receive free popcorn from the PTA during their rest period.  For children with allergies, parents are invited to check the labels of the items being offered.
 

Hot lunch will now be ordered online only!  If you do not own a computer and want to order hot lunch, please contact Carol Palma at 973-882-6506 immediately.  Please read through the following directions and then go to www.montville.net to get started.  Once on Montville.net, you need to click on Woodmont School, then PTA and then the hot lunch link.  An order form will appear when you click on the link on the bottom of the hot lunch page on the PTA website. The directions listed below are also on the website.

 

  1. Enter your child’s NAME AND GRADE at the top of the page where indicated.  You do not need an access code to enter an order.  Also, please remember to enter your child’s last name first.  If you do not, your child’s name will not appear in the correct place on the grade lists.  If your last name contains an apostrophe (‘), please do not use it.   Other schools using this program, have found that using the apostrophe messes up the child’s order.

 

  1. Important Notice to Kindergarten Parents:  Since we serve kindergarten lunches at their tables, we needed to give each kindergarten class a distinct designation as follows:

 

Mrs. Jarvie’s class – K1

Mrs. Santiago’s class – K2

Mrs. Siano’s class – K3

 

          Kindergarten parents, you will use these designations where you need to

indicate your child’s grade level on the order form.

 

  1. Click on your menu choices for the month and hit submit at the bottom.  It may take up to 2 minutes for your order to process once you hit submit order.  Please be PATIENT and do NOT press submit more than once.

 

  1. When your order has been processed, you will be taken to the next page which shows your order and has directions on how to pay.  You will have 2 choices.  You can pay by credit card or you can send a check made out to “Woodmont School PTA” in through your child’s backpack.  If you are paying by credit card, there is a service fee.  On the payment page there is a PRINT TICKET button at the bottom of the page.  Hit print tickets and you now have your child’s tickets.  You will cut these tickets just as you have in the past. .  Also, you may write one check for all of your children. (Please watch calculating your totals.)  If you do not have a printer, please send an e-mail to palmamj@aol.com or call Carol Palma at 973-882-6506.

 

**If paying by check (thru the backpacks), we must have your check before hot lunch starts.  Even though you have your tickets, if we don’t have your payment, your children will be flagged on the master list and will not receive lunch.  All parents will be notified 48 hours and then again 24 hours prior to the new hot lunch cycle if their hot lunch payment has not been received.**

 

  1. To make any changes to your order:  You will also notice in the top right corner you have been assigned an access code for your order.  You can use this code to change your order or if you need to reprint your tickets.  You can only modify your order prior to our receiving payment and prior to the close of the ordering period.  If you have paid for your order and need to change your order before the close of the cycle, please contact Carol Palma.  No changes may be made after the close of the cycle.

 

When making changes:  Just enter your access code and click “go.”  Please do NOT retype your child’s name and hit view hot lunch; this action will result in two orders being processed. 

 

  1. Once the hot lunch ordering deadline has passed - hot lunch is closed!  There can be no late orders.  Remember - Ordering can be done 24/7!

MAKING PAYMENTS ONLINE!

 

The Woodmont PTA is pleased to announce that we have online payment capabilities.  PaySchool allows you to make hot-lunch related payments on line via your credit card.

 

Here is how it works:

After submitting your hot lunch order, click on Make an Online Payment.  You will be taken to the PaySchool website.  The first time you access PaySchool, you will be asked to create a username and password.  After you login, simply select the item(s) you wish to purchase then choose to pay by credit card.  To make your purchase by credit card, enter the account number and expiration date for your VISA, MasterCard or Discover credit card.  After you complete your purchase, an e-mail confirmation and receipt will immediately be sent to you.  PaySchools uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, requires passwords throughout the program, and does not store personal bank or credit card information to ensure privacy and security for users.

This service is purely for your convenience. 

 

There are fees associated with using PaySchools.  The fee schedule is as follows:


$0-20 will have a $2.00 fee added on
$20-50 will have a $3.00 fee added on
$50-100 will have a $4.00 fee added on
$100- 150 will have a $5.00 fee added on
$150-200 will have a $6.00 fee added on
$200 and over will have a $7.00 fee added on

 

PaySchools also allows you to set up a family account and pay for all your children at one time.  How?  Placing the 1st order, submit, view tickets and print tickets.  Note your total amount owed.  Place your second order, note your total amount owed then hit online payment, log into your Payschools account and enter the combined amount of your child's orders.  Finish the payment process.

Remember- paying online is not required.  You may still send in your check via your child's backpack.
