Woodmont Media Center Rules
- Take assigned seats quickly and quietly.
- Be a good listener. (Lesson or Story)
- Be courteous when selecting material: If you are unable to
select your book of choice, you may ask the media specialist to
reserve the book for you
- Students who return books may borrow books.
- Students who follow proper Media Center behavior may borrow
books
- Students may come to the library the following day during
individual assistance period (right after lunch/recess) : 12:35 - 1:00 to select a book if they
were unable to do so during Media Class
- Grades K-2 check out ONE book
- Grades 3-5 Check out ONE book. TWO books - if one is needed
for a class assignment or a book to keep in your desk at school.
- Use your Library Card/ Shelf Marker to select a book.
- Bring your book to the circulation desk with your library card
- Check out book ( Have book scanned at check-out desk)
- Recall special procedure for Magazine check out. Request
Pink Card noting the date of magazine issue being
borrowed.
- Students may NOT borrow video cassettes.
- Returning Books:
- Students return borrowed books to their classroom on
the designated Media Center table.
- Students who wish to RENEW a book, must bring the book to the
library during class media time.
- Classroom library monitors bring all returned books to the
Media Center every morning by 8:30.
- Returned Books are placed on the rolling return cart in the
Media Center on top of teacher's name.
- Returned Books are checked in before classes arrive for
their Media Scheduled time.
- Damaged Books are to be reported to the Librarian. Show proper
Book Care, but accidents can happen & it is your
responsibility to report any damage. What would Mr. Wiggle
do?
