Mrs. Susan Ciccotelli I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary
Education from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. I earned As a school leader, I strive to create positive parent and teacher relations as well as fostering a child-centered community. It is my personal commitment to do my best to oversee that each child is stimulated, challenged, and provided with a safe and cultivating experience. Nurse I have been a registered nurse for 27 years. I graduated with a B.S.N. from Molloy College, L.I., N.Y. I then worked for seventeen years at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, as an acute care curse. I received mycertification to be a school nurse and teach health at Caldwell College. I am married, with two children. My daughter is
in college and my son is in high school. We also have a I enjoy all sports, especially the Yankees & Jets. The beach is a favorite place of mine, along with New York City. Mr. Doug Stech Doug Stech is returning
for his third year as Woodmont’s guidance counselor. He is thrilled to be at
Woodmont
I
have been a teacher in the Montville Public Schools since the fall of 1988.
Following graduation from Seton Hall University, I initially taught in the
Montclair Public Schools, a magnet based system where I had the pleasure of
working at Hillside, the Gifted and Talented Magnet School.
I am dedicated to the motivation of my
students. I believe children should be taught to love learning and exhibit
self-motivation through praise and guidance. Organization and effort are
the cornerstones of my very busy classroom. The fundamentals of the reading
process are stressed every moment of every day.
In addition to my role as kindergarten
teacher, I am the Director of The Magic of Reading, The Magic of Writing,
and a Summer Magic Camp, all fun and educational programs for Pathways. We are based in Montville and Summit.
My husband of MANY years and I have been
graced with two beautiful children, graceful, poised Katie and
articulate, athletic Johnny. We have two feisty Westies, sisters. I find peace in the sound of the ocean waves in any season.
I take great pride in my own children AND
the children I am charged to teach. This is truly a pleasure.
Mrs. Candace Santiago
I am a graduate of Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Since starting to teach in Montville I’ve worked at both Vallley View and Woodmont as a kindergarten teacher. I am the proud mother of twin girls
who keep my husband and I very busy. I especially like working with kindergartners and seeing them mature and develop a love of learning that will follow them throughout their years. Mrs. Bernice Siano
When not teaching most of my time revolves around family activities with my daughter, her husband and my grandchildren.
Ms. Carolyn Schmidt I began my teaching career at Woodmont as a student teacher in 2003. I truly enjoy teaching first grade! I received a B.S. in elementary education from William Paterson University. I am a new mommy so I enjoy every moment I have with my new family. I also enjoy going to sporting events, going out to dinner, and routing on the Red Sox! I love being a Woodmont Wildcat! After graduating in 1997 from William Paterson, and 3 years as an Account Representative for a Financial Recruiting Firm in New York City, Gregg Milite decided he was not achieving the career fulfillment he longed for. Leaving the recruiting profession all together in 2004 to pursue a dual Elementary Education Teaching License, and Masters Degree, from Montclair State University, Mr. Milite can honestly say it was one of the best decisions he has ever made. Since earning his degrees, Mr. Milite spent time in Bergen County as a maternity leave replacement in the K-5 Gifted & Talented Program. However, it wasn’t until he landed a permanent role in 2008 as Montville’s first male Kindergarten teacher that he realized what his favorite role thus far was to be; working with the little ones! September 2009 would bring about a bit of change as Mr. Milite embarked on his role of 2nd grade teacher, still in district, although here at Woodmont. Enjoying every bit as much as his first year in the district, Mr. Milite hopes to bring his energy, enthusiasm, and sheer love for the profession into any and all classrooms he’s a part of.
I graduated from Kean University with certification as an elementary teacher and a teacher-librarian. I had done my student teaching at Woodmont when Mr .Lazar was the principal here, and he hired me to teach third grade the following year. When Hilldale School opened in 1975 I was pleased to transfer there with a number of Woodmont students. In the open school environment I taught first through sixth grades. Since “coming home” I’ve been teaching my favorite students, second graders. I love their enthusiasm, innocence and jokes! I try hard to encourage their love of school and their positive attitude towards learning. My husband and I have a son and a daughter. Our son and his wife have an adorable son. Last month our first granddaughter was born! I feel very thankful to be able to spend time with children in both my personal and working life.
Ms. Laura Catalano

Mr. Dean Marra
When I was sixteen and working at Burger King making the most delicious
Whooper Sandwich you ever
had it dawned on me, "Someday I want to be a teacher." Well, today I am a teacher and I love it! I have been teaching for over ten years. When I started in Montville Township as a teacher, I was teaching fourth grade at Valley View School from there I moved on to teaching the Gifted and Talented Program. After a brief two years as the district's Gifted and Talented instructor I wanted to go back to the classroom and see the same cute faces each day. Now that I am at Woodmont I feel I can't believe I ever taught anywhere else...This is the place for me! Each day we create the most magical experiences by having fun and challenging our growing minds; On most days I learn more than the students.
As I was working at Burger King I was also playing and learning music.
I'm so thankful for my parents making my home full of music. Today, I play
drums and piano and love that as much as I love teaching. Who knows, the
next time you're at your favorite restaurant you might look up and see me
jamming away on the drums or piano.
I love to travel also! I have been to Austria, Copenhagen, Denmark,
France, Greece, and Italy to name just a few. I loved Austria the most
because I loved walking i the steps of Mozart.
The most important thing about me though is that I'm a father. I have
two wonderful kids that a lot of you have met: Julia and Dante'. I will just
say that I love them because if I begin writing about them this bio
will be even longer!
This is my first year at Woodmont and I absolutely LOVE it. I graduated from Montclair State University with a BA in Family Child Studies, concentration K-5th grade. My love for teaching and children started at Mountain Lakes Country Day School over seven years! My goal is to have each of my students grow intellectually and to inspire them to be the best they can be! When I am not in my classroom, I love shopping, spending time with friends and family, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mrs. Lisa Lazzara My husband and I reside in Roxbury. We are the proud parents of
three year old twins, Samantha and "A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence
stops."
Mr. Quinn is in his second year of teaching at
Woodmont and could not be happier. “I wake up in the His pursuit of being an educator could not have become a reality without the tremendous support of a wonderful wife, Kara. They have two children, a second grade son and a little girl in kindergarten this year. (Word has it a third child is on the way.) Outside of Woodmont you can find him very busy at home with friends and family or at the family’s favorite local lake. Don’t be surprised if you can’t find them in the winter because they love to ski!! Mr. Quinn is very fond of a quote by William Arthur Ward. “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” He hopes to inspire.
Mrs. Cherylyn Torrisi
I have been teaching in the Montville School district for thirteen years,
all of which have been at Woodmont in the fourth grade! I earned an
undergraduate degree in Business Finance from Marist College. Before
teaching I worked in the health care industry for five years. When I
decided to pursue teaching, I received a Master's Degree in Elementary
Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University along with a degree in Special
Education.
My husband and I reside in Pequannock with our very energetic two children,
Ryan, who is 3 1/2 years old and Sophia, who is 21 months. In my free
time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends,
traveling, exercising and shopping!

I enjoy working with the fifth graders, especially in preparing them for the upcoming challenges of middle school and all the excitement that comes with it. My husband Ian and I are the proud “empty nest” parents of our wonderful daughter Sara, and share our home with a lovable Golden Retriever named Duncan. I look forward to a great new school year!

She loves teaching Science and Language Arts And always teaches from the heart! She possesses a fascination In Educational Administration. And because of that, She holds a master degree in her hat.
