SCHOOL SAFETY

All visitors must
sign in at the main office when entering the building! You will get a
visitor name tag to wear during your stay. This lets teachers and
students know you are a safe visitor.

Please drive SLOWLY when on school grounds. Respect pedestrians as well as the school buses.

There are teachers in the mornings and afternoons that cross children at the busy entrance. They may ask you to come to a COMPLETE stop to cross children.

PLAYGROUND SAFETY
General Common Sense Rules:
- Always respond immediately to our 1-2-3 signal.
- Never throw rocks.
- Play away from the parked cars.
- Always stay on the playground within sight of the lunch/recess supervisors.
- Never chase a ball down the street. Ask an adult to retrieve it.
- Walk, don't run, to and from recess.
- Play away from windows and classes in session.
- Respect others space – no physical contact.
- Always tell an adult immediately if you are injured.
Playground Equipment:


- Never hang upside down on play equipment.
- Never stop on the slide.
- Never walk up the slide.
- Never leave the playground area.
- Run across, but do not jump on the movable bridge.
- Children in Grades Pre K, K, 1 and 2 are not allowed on the “monkey bars.”
Swings:

- Only swing forward and never side to side.
- Keep a safe distance when walking in front of children who are swinging.
- Do not walk behind the swings.
- Do not push each other. Pump with your legs.
