Welcome to a fabulous fourth grade! Sorry it took us awhile to get our website going….we’ve been so busy inside the classroom! Our fourth graders came to school buzzing with excitement and eager to learn!
The students have been working very hard this year. In reading the students have been studying and reading different genres, such as realistic fiction, historical fiction, informational text and much more! They have been diligently writing and reflecting on their independent reading as well in their reading response journals.
In writing the students welcomed the poet, Elosie Bruce. Together the students created many poems and put together a poem anthology. We thank the PTA for a beautiful collection of our poems. The students are continuing to write everyday. Our writer’s notebooks are almost full with tons of great writing.
Math is now in full swing. We are continuing to practice multiplication and division facts. The students will soon be multiplying two and three digit numbers as well as computing long division! Remember, please keep reviewing the facts!
