GRADE 2
January 2010

For second graders, science and social studies have gone hand and hand during this marking period. In science we are learning about natural resources and classifying them as renewable and nonrenewable. We are discussing the effect that wind, water, and people have on the Earth. In social studies, map skills are the focus. The children are learning that maps help us identify different types of landforms and bodies of water. As we travel through North America, we'll see how climate differs by region.
Remember to keep reviewing those 100 math facts as they make computation so much easier!
