Miriam L. Stachow B.A., Music Education, Douglass College 71. M.A., Viola Performance, The University of Iowa 72. Mrs. Stachow has been teaching since 1973, and joined the Montville staff as a stringed instrument specialist in 1991. Orchestra at MTHS became a credit-bearing course in 1995, and has grown from the original group of seven students to the current ensemble of seventy. Mrs. Stachow was chosen as MTHS Teacher of the Year in 2003, and was featured with the orchestra in a segment of Classroom Close-Up on NJN.
