Valley View Elementary School
  • NutFree Dear Parents,  Just a reminder that all of our classrooms are nut free classrooms as noted in our June and September mailings.  Since so many of the bakeries and grocery stores to include Shop Rite cannot guarantee that they are nut free facilities, please do not purchase bakery items that we cannot permit in the classrooms.  We do not want any youngsters to be disappointed, but we must maintain safe practice with regard to products made in facilities that cannot guarantee that they are “nut free.”  Some parents are opting to have their child’s birthday be celebrated with a treat of  colorful pencils or stickers.  Most ice cream Dixie Cups are an option as are Italian ices, but please be careful to check the ingredients on the package labels.  Thank you,  Dr. Kennedy, Principal

Valley View’s Mock Trial club was recently notified that it had won an award in this year's statewide contest. The club creates and writes an original trial based on legal issues that interest the group. The completed trial is sent to the New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s Law Fair contest; a contest designed to generate interest in legal careers. Our club received the Honorable Mention award for our trial, The Case of the Downed Drone. The club will travel to New Brunswick in May to perform the trial at the New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s Headquarters. We are so proud of the hard work of these students!

  • Please watch our video (above) about Valley View's involvement with St. Jude Children's Medical Research Center.  Valley View is very proud to have such a powerful relationship with this organization.  Over the years, Valley View has raised over $122,000 for this wonderful cause.  We hope you enjoy the presentation by our 5th graders.
