The producers of the “Lazar News Network” Classroom Close-up, NJ segment interviewed students, teachers and administrators. They were on hand at the crack of dawn to film Lazar Video students as they produced, directed, filmed and anchored the daily live news broadcast. LNN was launched, and is guided, by teacher, Jeanne Matuszewski. The Lazar community views the five-minute news segments on televisions located in classrooms and other areas throughout the school. The news broadcasts serve as the school’s morning announcements.
Congratulations to the Math Counts Competitors 2014/2015
The Math Count club met several times each month from September until February. At each meeting students worked independently and cooperatively to complete Warm-up and Workout problems in order to prepare for the school competition held in January, 2015. Upon completion of the problems we reviewed the solutions with students and answered any questions. The school competition determined the ten club members who would continue on to represent Lazar at the regional competition held at NJIT in February. The ten students met twice per week to prepare for the regional competition by completing the count down round questions and the team round questions.
