    School Climate
The Robert R Lazar Middle School Guidance department set a goal to increase awareness of the school climate from the students’ perspective. School climate is essentially the quality and nature of school life based on a wide array of variables (Cohen, McCabe, Michelli & Pickeral, 2009). Several programs, activities, events, and aspects of the role of the guidance counselors are currently in place to foster a positive school climate. A deeper understanding of how these factors positively influence school climate needed to be analyzed. Best practices research indicates the most efficient way to investigate school climate and determine the efficacy of existing systems is through the utilization of objective measurement tools such as a survey.

For a summary of the survey analysis please see the guidance website.
